The First Lecture

When the teacher is in his full mood,
trying to tell us how eco was formed,
trying to make the class listen together,
and still our attitude remains WATEVA!!!!

he throws questions and explains theories,
still all we think are last night glories,
all his attempts to make us listen fail,
poor teacher whatever he does goes in vain.

Caricatures are at their best,
novels come to their ends,
sodokus get solved,
and all this on the duration of the class depends.

why does he in a winter morning expects us to listen,
or even a summer morning for that matter,
the first and last mornings are time to relax,
and leisurely chit chatter.

We pass chits and review movies,
talk of flings and crushes,
the first lecture is just meant for masti,
and the last lecture for pack up hushes.

the smiles on our faces and the silent laughter,
aren't they self explanatory,
don't they tell that we just want the class to end,
and run to the coffee factory.

for the many theories taught,
we might not remember a word,
but all our chit chat and laughter,
we make sure doesn't gets unheard,

X reads a novel and Y sketches him in action,
everyone has something interesting to do,
while some friends just chat,
i write a poem or two.

who says the first and last lectures aren't important,
everyone has something interesting to do,
while some friends just chat,
i write a poem or two.
